In Leadville, Colorado, an outbreak of a flu-like epidemic leads to a quarantine as the infected transform into zombies, forcing a group of survivors to escape the town and stumble upon an underground army base, while in Chicago, Detective Carla Moreno investigates a case of violence, racial hatred, and police corruption, as a grieving father takes matters into his own hands to seek justice for his murdered daughter whose body mysteriously disappears.
