John Murdoch, who wakes up with no memory in a hotel bathtub, must escape from men chasing him while uncovering the truth about his identity, the anachronistic city, the Strangers who have powers like him, and ultimately creating a new life with his wife. Dark City is a 1998 English-language Mystery Sci-Fi film featuring Rufus Sewell, Kiefer Sutherland, Jennifer Connelly, Richard O brien, Ian Richardson, William Hurt and Tina Kobas. Mystery Clock Cinema was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Andrew Mason and Alex Proyas. The film is written and directed by Alex Proyas.
