Media Asia Films in association with China Film Media Asia Audio Video Distribution and Milkyway Image. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Johnnie To and Wai Kai-fai. Dan sun nam nui is written by Wai Ka-fai, Yau Nai-hoi, Ray Chan and Jevons Au and it is directed by Johnnie To and Wai Ka-fai. Media Asia Distributions acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Dan sun nam nui was released on 7th April 2011 in Cantonese and Mandarin languages and takes a screen time of 115 minutes. Cinematography was done by Cheng Siu-Keung and To Hung-mo and editing by David Richardson and Allen Leung. The music was composed by Xavier Jamaux.
