A policeman with a Robin Hood persona faces challenges in his personal relationships as well as his duty to fight against a corrupt political leader. Dabangg is a 2010 Indian Hindi-language Action Comedy movie featuring Salman Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, Arbaaz Khan, Sonu Sood, Vinod Khanna, Dimple Kapadia and Shyam Lal. Arbaaz Khan Productions in association with Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Ltd. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Arbaaz Khan, Malaika Arora Khan and Dhilin Mehta. Dabangg is written by Abhinav Kashyap, Dilip Shukla and Abhinav Singh Kashyap and it is directed by Abhinav Kashyap and Abhinav Singh Kashyap. Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Dabangg was released on 10th September 2010 and takes a screen time of 126 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Dabangg was made on a budget of ₹41 crore and it was a super hit at box office gross of ₹141 crore. Cinematography was done by Mahesh Limaye and editing by Pranav V. Dhiwar. The music was composed by IIFA Award winner Wajid Ali along with Sajid Wajid, Lalit Pandit and Sandeep Shirodkar. At the 2011 IIFA Awards It won 4 awards including: Best Screenplay, Best Action, Best Choreography and Best Sound Re-Recording. At the 2011 IIFA Awards It also won 6 awards including: Best Performance by an Actor in a Negative Role (Sonu Sood), Best Debut Actress (Sonakshi Sinha), Best Film, Best Music Director, Best Playback Singer - Male and Best Playback Singer - Female. At the 2011 Filmfare Awards It also won an award for Best Action. At the 2011 National Film Awards It also won an award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment.
