Daawat-E-Ishq

Gulrez Gullu Qadir, a shoe-sales girl in Hyderabad, dreams of going to America but is unable to afford a large dowry for marriage, so she plans to trap a dowry-hungry groom and recover money from him, but ends up falling in love with the manager of a famous restaurant, Tariq, who unexpectedly gives her the requested dowry, however, when Tariq discovers her plan to drug him and take the money, Gullu returns the money and confesses her love for him, leading to their reunion without any dowry and Gullu opening her own shoe shop. Daawat-E-Ishq is a 2014 Indian Hindi-language Comedy Drama film featuring Aditya Roy Kapur, Parineeti Chopra, Anupam Kher, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Karan Wahi, Beena Malji and Ratnakar Upadhayay. Yash Raj Films was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Aditya Chopra. Daawat-E-Ishq is written by Habib Faisal and Jyoti Kapoor and it is directed by Habib Faisal. Yash Raj Films acquired the distribution rights for the film. Daawat-E-Ishq was released on 5th September 2014 and takes a screen time of 123 minutes. Daawat-E-Ishq was made on a budget of ₹32 crore and it was a hit at box office gross of ₹35 crore. Cinematography was done by Himman Dhamija and editing by Meghna Sen. The music was composed by IIFA Award winner Wajid Ali along with Sajid-wajid and Hitesh Modak.
