Cut Bank is written by Roberto Patino and directed by Matt Shakman. A24 acquired the distribution rights for the film. Rountree and Banks have come up with a nonsensical and pointless genre exercise, a film built on a couple of wool over the eyes plot twists one of which is spelled out repeatedly in case anyone misses it the first time. ( Read More )
Malkovich doesnt quite convince as a lovelorn and borderline inept officer of the law, but hes so good in his scenes opposite an understated Thornton and characteristically brash Platt that it doesnt really matter. ( Read More )
