Crying Fist is written by Cheol-hong Jeon, Seung-wan Ryoo, Ryoo Seung-wan and Jeon Cheol-hong and it is directed by Seung-wan Ryoo and Ryoo Seung-wan. Showeast acquired the distribution rights for the film. Crying Fist was released on 1st April 2005 and takes a screen time of 134 minutes. The film made a box office gross of $10 million. Cinematography was done by Jo Yong-gyu and editing by Nam Na-yeong. The music was composed by Bang Jun-seok. At the 2005 Cannes Film Festival It won an award for Quinzaine des réalisateurs.
