Sophia Leonides enlists the help of private investigator Charles Hayward to investigate the suspicious death of her grandfather, Aristide Leonides, leading them to uncover a web of complex relationships and hidden secrets within the Leonides family, ultimately discovering that Josephine, one of Aristides grandchildren, was the true murderer. Crooked House is a 2017 English-language Crime Drama film starring Glenn Close, Terence Stamp, Max Irons, Stefanie Martini, Julian Sands, Honor Kneafsey and Lauren Poveda. The movie is inspired from Crooked House by Agatha Christie. Brilliant Films in association with Fred Films. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Joseph Abrams, Sally Wood and James Spring. Crooked House is written by Julian Fellowes and directed by Gilles Paquet-brenner. Vertical Entertainment acquired the distribution rights for the film. Crooked House was released on 5th August 2018 and takes a screen time of 115 minutes. Crooked House was made on a budget of $10 million and at the box office it grossed only $3 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Julian Fellowes, Tim Rose Price and Gilles Paquet-Brenner. Cinematography was done by Sebastian Winter and editing by Peter Christelis. The music was composed by Hugo De Chaire.
