In a 19th-century horror film, a mad scientist named Dr. Malthus discovers a way to achieve eternal youth by draining the blood of young women, but is caught and hanged for his crimes; however, his grandson brings him back to life and assists him in continuing his rejuvenation experiments using himself as the subject, seeking out young victims for their blood.
