Connected tells the story of Bob , a single father who receives a distressing phone call on his cellular phone from Grace Wong , a woman who has been kidnapped by a gang of corrupt Interpol agents who have a hidden agenda. Connected is a 2008 Cantonese-language Action Crime motion picture starring Louis Koo, Barbie Hsu, Nick Cheung, Liu Ye, , Siu-wong Fan and Heily Ma. The movie is based on Cellular by Chris Morgan. Emperor Motion Pictures in association with China Film Group, Warner China Film HG, Armor Entertainment and Sirius Pictures International. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Benny Chan, Albert Lee, Jiang Tao and Kevin Yung. The movie is directed by Benny Chan. Emperor Motion Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the film. Connected was released on 1st October 2008 and takes a screen time of 110 minutes. Connected was made on a budget of $45 million and at the box office it grossed only $13 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Alan Yuen, Benny Chan and Xu Bing. Cinematography was done by Anthony Pun and editing by Yau Chi-wai. The music was composed by Nicolas Err Ra.
