James Porter (Martin Lawrence) drives his teenage daughter Melanie (Raven Symone), from their home in Chicago to a college interview in Washington, D.C. College Road Trip is a 2008 American English-language Adventure Comedy film featuring Raven-symon, Martin Lawrence, Donny Osmond, Raven-symoné, Kym Whitley, Adam Lefevre and Erin Westerman. Walt Disney Pictures in association with Gunn Films and Head Gear Films. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Andrew Gunn. College Road Trip is written by Emi Mochizuki, Carrie Lee Wilson, Cinco Paul, Ken Daurio and Carrie Evans and it is directed by Roger Kumble. Walt Disney Studios acquired the distribution rights for the film. College Road Trip was released on 7th March 2008 and takes a screen time of 83 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. College Road Trip was made on a budget of $25 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $51 million. Cinematography was done by Theo van de Sande and editing by Roger Bondelli. The music was composed by Edward Shearmur.
