Cocktail

A man named Brian becomes a bartender and forms a friendship with another bartender named Doug, and together they come up with the idea for a chain of bars, but their partnership ends when Doug manipulates Brians girlfriend, leading Brian to start over and find love with someone else before eventually reconciling with his first girlfriend and starting a family. Cocktail is a 1988 American English-language Comedy Drama film featuring Tom Cruise, Bryan Brown, Elisabeth Shue, Lisa Banes, Laurence Luckinbill, Kelly Lynch and David Berni. The movie is inspired from Cocktail by Heywood Gould. Touchstone Pictures in association with Silver Screen Partners III and Interscope Communications. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Ted Field and Robert W. Cort. Cocktail is written by Heywood Gould and directed by Roger Donaldson. Buena Vista Pictures Distribution acquired the distribution rights for the film. Cocktail was released on 29th July 1988 and takes a screen time of 103 minutes. Cocktail was made on a budget of $20 million and at the box office it grossed only $0 million.
