A poor construction worker finds a green orb that transforms into a friendly alien that befriends his son, but after the son mistreats the alien and loses it, the alien sacrifices itself to revive the father and a new group of alien dogs visit the son. CJ7 is a 2008 Cantonese-language Comedy Family movie starring Stephen Chow, Xu Jiao, Zhang Yuqi, Jiao Xu, Lei Huang, Yuqi Zhang and Salomon Kalou. Beijing Film Studio in association with China Film Group and Star Overseas. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Stephen Chow, Han Sanping and Po-chu Chui. CJ7 is written by Stephen Chow, Vincent Kok, Kan-cheung Tsang, Sandy Shaw, Chi Keung Fung, Fung Lam, Tsang Kan-cheong, Sandy Shaw Lai-king, Fung Chi-keung and Lam Fung and it is directed by Stephen Chow. China Film Group Corporation acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. CJ7 was released on 30th January 2008 and takes a screen time of 88 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. CJ7 was made on a budget of $20 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $47 million. Cinematography was done by Poon Hang-Sang and editing by Angie Lam and Kendall Murillo Montoya. The music was composed by Raymond Wong Ying-wah.
