Deepak Sing is a farmer in Rajasthan. After a tragedy, he migrates to Mumbai with his wife and child to lead a better life. However, upon arriving, he soon discovers the challenges of life in a big city. City Lights is a 2014 Indian Hindi-language Drama Thriller movie featuring Rajkummar Rao, Mallhar Goenka, Manav Kaul, Pramod Pathak, Patralekha Paul, Vinod Rawat and Resh Lamba. The movie is based on Metro Manila by Sean Ellis. Vishesh Films was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Mukesh Bhatt. City Lights is written by Sean Ellis and Ritesh Shah and it is directed by Hansal Mehta. Fox Star Studios acquired the distribution rights for the film. City Lights was released on 30th May 2014 in Hindi and Rajasthani languages and takes a screen time of 1-59minutes. City Lights was made on a budget of ₹9 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹6 crore. The screenplay for the movie was written by Ritesh Shah.
