The movie is based on Cinderella by Charles Perrault. Walt Disney Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Walt Disney. The movie is directed by Wilfred Jackson, Hamilton Luske and Clyde Geronimi. RKO Radio Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the film. Cinderella was released on 4th March 1950 and takes a screen time of 74 minutes. and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released. Cinderella was made on a budget of $95 million and at the box office it grossed only $3 million. Editing was done by Donald Halliday. The music was composed by Oliver Wallace along with Paul Smith.
