Winston Churchill, haunted by past failures and struggling with doubts and fears, must confront his insecurities, make a difficult decision, and potentially face a tarnished legacy in the midst of the planned invasion and impending D-Day landings. Churchill is a 2017 English-language Biography Drama film featuring Brian Cox, Miranda Richardson, John Slattery, Ella Purnell, James Purefoy, Julian Wadham and Mark Spiden. Silver Reel in association with Salon Pictures and Embankment Films. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Nick Taussig, Paul Van Carter, Piers Tempest and Claudia Bluemhuber. Churchill is written by Alex Von Tunzelmann and directed by Jonathan Teplitzky. Lionsgate acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Churchill was released on 6th July 2017 and takes a screen time of 98 minutes. Churchill was made on a budget of $10 million and at the box office it grossed only $6 million. Cinematography was done by David Higgs and editing by Chris Gill. The music was composed by Lorne Balfe.
