In 1957, in Detroit, a red Plymouth Fury is built and is the cause of two accidents, one of them fatal, still in the assembly line. Twenty-one years later, the outcast and bullied nerd Arnold Arnie Cunningham is getting a ride with his best and only friend Dennis Guilder and he s the wrecked car for sale in a garden. Arnie immediately falls in love with the car. The car was given the name Christine by its first owner. He brings the car to a repair shop of the despicable Will Darnell and works hard to restore the classic car. While he works in the restoration, he changes his personality to a cocky teenager and he dates the most beautiful girl in the high-school, Leigh Cabot. Soon Arnie becomes selfish and jealous of the supernatural Christine that kills everyone that is a threat to them. Written by Mitchell McCreath. Christine is a 1983 American English-language Horror motion picture starring Keith Gordon, John Stockwell, Alexandra Paul, Robert Prosky, Harry Dean Stanton, Christine Belford and Barry Tubb. The movie is inspired from Christine by Stephen King. Delphi Premier Productions in association with Polar Film. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Richard Kobritz and Larry J. Franco. The movie is directed by John Carpenter. Columbia Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Christine was released on 9th December 1983 and takes a screen time of 110 minutes. Christine was made on a budget of $10 million and at the box office it grossed only $0 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Bill Phillips. Cinematography was done by Donald M. Morgan and editing by Marion Rothman. The music was composed by John Carpenter along with Alan Howarth.
