Chitchor

A headmaster in India mistakenly welcomes an overseer instead of the intended engineer as a possible match for his daughter, leading to a complicated love story. Chitchor is a 1976 Indian Hindi-language Musical Drama film starring Amol Palekar, Zarina Wahab, Vijayendra Ghatge, A.k. Hangal, Dina Pathak, Raju Shrestha and Ritu Kamal. The movie is inspired from Chittachakor by Subodh Ghosh. Rajshri Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Ajit Kumar Barjatya, Kamal Kumar Barjatya and Tarachand Barjatya. Chitchor is written by Basu Chatterjee and Subodh Ghosh and it is directed by Basu Chatterjee. Ultra Distributors acquired the distribution rights for the film. Chitchor was released on 30th January 1976. The screenplay for the movie was written by Basu Chatterjee. Cinematography was done by K. K. Mahajan and editing by Mukhtar Ahmed. The music was composed by Ravindra Jain.
