Chingaari

A prostitute named Basanti seeks a better life for her daughter, catches the attention of a postman named Chandan who falls in love with her, but faces opposition from a sadistic village priest who eventually gets killed by Basanti as she seeks justice for Chandans death. Chingaari is a 2006 Indian Hindi-language Drama Action motion picture starring Mithun Chakraborty, Sushmita Sen, Anuj Sawhney, Ila Arun, Anjan Srivastav, Suresh Abhas and Rajbhushan Sahastrabuddhe. Chingaari was Produced by Kalpana Lajmi and Vikas Sahni. Chingaari is written by Bhupen Hazarika and Kalpana Lajmi and it is directed by Kalpana Lajmi. Chingaari was released on 17th February 2006. Chingaari was made on a budget of ₹5 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹1 crore. Cinematography was done by Vishal Sinha. The music was composed by Aadesh Shrivastava.
