A young chimpanzee named Oscar is separated from his mother and forms an unlikely bond with alpha male Freddy, but is left confused and searching for companionship after Freddy is forced to leave him alone during a fight with a rival chimp. Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Chimpanzee was released on 20th April 2012 and takes a screen time of 77 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Chimpanzee was made on a budget of $5 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $34 million. Cinematography was done by Martyn Colbeck and Bill Wallauer and editing by Andy Netley. The music was composed by Nicholas Hooper.
