During Stalins rule in the 1950s Soviet Union, Leo Demidov, an MGB agent, unveils a series of child murders that the authorities refuse to acknowledge, leading to tragic consequences for Leo and his family, until they take matters into their own hands and successfully solve the case, ultimately finding a happy ending. Child 44 is a 2015 English-language Crime Drama movie starring Tom Hardy, Gary Oldman, Noomi Rapace, Joel Kinnaman, Paddy Considine, Jason Clarke and Tiffany Dion. The movie is inspired from Child 44 by Tom Rob Smith. Worldview Entertainment in association with Scott Free Productions. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Greg Shapiro, Michael Schaefer and Ridley Scott. Child 44 is written by Richard Price and directed by Daniel Espinosa. Summit Entertainment acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Child 44 was released on 16th April 2015 and takes a screen time of 137 minutes. Child 44 was made on a budget of $50 million and at the box office it grossed only $12 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Richard Price. Cinematography was done by Oliver Wood and editing by Pietro Scalia and Dylan Tichenor. The music was composed by Jon Ekstrand.
