Ramakrishnan, a wealthy businessman, befriends a poor photographer named Thirunavukkarasu and hires him in his company, but complications arise when Ramakrishnan spends time with a call girl named Thilothama while his wife is away, leading to a series of events including lies and a tragic suicide, until the truth is revealed in court and leads to a reconciliation between Ramakrishnan and his wife. Roja Combines was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) M. Kajamaideen, and K. Ayisha. The film is written and directed by Shakti Chidambaram and Sakthi Chidambaram. Charlie Chaplin was released on 26th February 2002. Cinematography was done by J. Sivakumar and editing by Anil Malnad.
