Chandralekha

A group of friends plan to commit suicide but postpone it to save ones life, and in the process, they encounter a ghost seeking revenge on three rich men who had raped and murdered her, leading to an eventual happy ending. Chandralekha is a 2014 Indian Kannada-language Comedy Drama movie featuring Chiranjeevi Sarja, Shanvi Srivastava, Sandhya Jagarlamudi, Munna Simon, Sadhu Kokila, Nagasri and Saakshi Sivaa. The movie is inspired from Prema Katha Chitram by Maruthi. S. M. Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Kalakonda Vumma Sridhar Reddy. Chandralekha is written by Maruthi Dasari and M. S. Ramesh and it is directed by Om Prakash Rao. Ramu enterprises acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Chandralekha was released on 7th March 2014 and takes a screen time of 160 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Chandralekha was made on a budget of ₹4 crore and it was a super hit at box office gross of ₹32 crore. Cinematography was done by N. Ravikumar and editing by Lakshman Reddy. The music was composed by Jeevan Babu.
