Champion is a story of a Punjab man assigned to protect a wealthy boy from an enemy named Nazir, leading to a love-hate relationship and a thrilling climax. Champion is a 2000 Indian Hindi-language Action Comedy movie starring Sunny Deol, Manisha Koirala, Abhishek Sharma, Rahul Dev, Kaivalya Chheda, Kashmira Shah and Manav Kaul. Shree Shiv Bhakti Films was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Sujit Kumar. Champion is written by N. Maharajan, Vijay Shetty, Venkatesh, Padam Kumar and Sanjay Masoom and it is directed by Padam Kumar and Jana Sue Memel. Shemaroo Entertainment acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Champion was released on 22nd December 2000. Champion was made on a budget of ₹10 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹8 crore. Cinematography was done by Tirru and editing by Shirish Kunder. The music was composed by Anand Raj Anand along with Anu Malik, Vishal Shekhar and Aadesh Shrivastava.
