Charulatha is a film about conjoined twin sisters Charu and Latha, whose separation results in tragic events and a heart-wrenching love triangle between them and Ravi, ultimately leading to a bittersweet ending. Charulatha is a 2012 Indian Telugu-language Horror Thriller movie starring Priyamani, Skanda Ashok, Saranya Ponvannan, Sai Sasi, Aarthi, P. Ravi Shankar and Shille Manjunath. The movie is inspired from Alone by Banjong Pisanthanakun and Parkpoom Wongpoom. Global One Studios in association with and Dwarakish Chithra. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Dwarakish and Ramesh Krishnamoorthy. Charulatha is written by Pon Kumaran, Banjong Pisanthanakun and Parkpoom Wongpoom and it is directed by Pon Kumaran. Sax Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Charulatha was released on 12th September 2012. The Film was successful at box office. Charulatha was made on a budget of ₹4 crore and it was a hit at box office gross of ₹7 crore. Cinematography was done by M. V. Panneerselvam and editing by Don Max. The music was composed by Sundar C Babu.
