A soldier in World War II seeks a means of escape from dangerous missions due to the increasing number of missions required by his commanding officer, but is ultimately trapped by a Catch-22 employed by the Army Air Force. Catch-22 is a 1970 American English-language Comedy Drama movie starring Alan Arkin, Martin Balsam, Richard Benjamin, Art Garfunkel, Jack Gilford, Buck Henry and Steve Defrance. The movie is inspired from Catch-22 by Joseph Heller. Catch-22 was Produced by John Calley and Martin Ransohoff. The movie is directed by Mike Nichols. Paramount Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the film. Catch-22 was released on 24th June 1970 and takes a screen time of 122 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Catch-22 was made on a budget of $18 million and it was a hit at box office gross of $24 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Buck Henry. Cinematography was done by David Watkin and editing by Sam O Steen. The music was composed by Richard Strauss.

    • A story about the seesaw of insanity, filtered through detached ridiculousness and aesthetic of a Mediterranean vacation, isnt exactly accessible in the first 30 minutes; like Yo Yo and Clevingers punishment in training carrying buckets along the edge of a circle its not easy to pinpoint where the loop starts and ends.
