Cat Ballou is a story about an outlaw seeking revenge on behalf of her father who was killed by the Wolf City Development Corporation. Cat Ballou is a 1965 American English-language Comedy Romance motion picture starring Jane Fonda, Lee Marvin, Michael Callan, Dwayne Hickman, Nat King Cole, Stubby Kaye and Tom Smith. The movie is based on The Ballad of Cat Ballou 1956 novel by Roy Chanslor. Harold Hecht Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Harold Hecht. Cat Ballou is written by Walter Newman and Frank Pierson and it is directed by Elliot Silverstein. Columbia Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Cat Ballou was released on 24th June 1965 and takes a screen time of 96 minutes. and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released. The film made a box office gross of $20 million. Cinematography was done by Jack A. Marta and editing by Charles Nelson. The music was composed by Frank De Vol along with Mack David and Jerry Livingston. At the 1966 Oscar Awards It won an award for Best Actor in a Leading Role (Lee Marvin). At the 1965 Berlin International Film Festival It also won an award for Best Actor (Lee Marvin).
