Capernaüm (Chaos) tells the story of Zain (Zain al-Rafeea), a Lebanese boy who sues his parents for the crime of giving him life. The film follows Zain as he journeys from gutsy, streetwise child to hardened 12-year-old adult fleeing his negligent parents, surviving through his wits on the streets, where he meets Ethiopian migrant worker Rahil, who provides him with shelter and food, as Zein takes care of her baby son Yonas in return. Zein later gets jailed for committing a violent crime, and finally ks justice in a courtroom. Capharnaüm is a 2018 Arabic-language Drama movie featuring Zain Al Rafeea, Yordanos Shiferaw, Boluwatife Bankole, Kawthar Al Haddad, Fadi Kamel Youssef, Nour El Husseini and Ali Zoghbi. Mooz Films was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Khaled Mouzanar and Michel Merkt. The motion picture is written and directed by Nadine Labaki. Sony Pictures Classics acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Capharnaüm was released on 20th September 2018 in Lebanese Arabic and Amharic languages and takes a screen time of 126 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Capharnaüm was made on a budget of ₹40 lakh and it was a super hit at box office gross of $68 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Nadine Labaki, Jihad Hojaily and Michelle Keserwany. Cinematography was done by Christopher Aoun and editing by Konstantin Bock and Laure Gardette. The music was composed by Khaled Mouzanar.
