Caged is a 1950 drama film about a young woman named Marie Allen who is sent to prison after an attempted robbery with her husband and struggles to adjust to life behind bars while pregnant, leading to a heartbreaking separation from her newborn child. Caged is a 1950 American English-language Crime Drama film starring Eleanor Parker, Agnes Moorehead, Betty Garde, Hope Emerson, Ellen Corby, Jan Sterling and Helen Gereghty. The movie is inspired from Women Without Men by Kellogg and Schoenfeld. Caged was Produced by Jerry Wald. Caged is written by Bernard C. Schoenfeld and Virginia Kellogg and it is directed by John Cromwell. Warner Bros. acquired the distribution rights for the film. Caged was released on 10th June 1950 and takes a screen time of 96 minutes. The film made a box office gross of $1 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Virginia Kellogg. Cinematography was done by Carl E. Guthrie and editing by Owen Marks. The music was composed by Max Steiner. At the 1950 Venice Film Festival It won an award for Best Actress (Eleanor Parker).
