Two individuals, Rakesh and Vimmi, form a friendship at a train station as they both strive to achieve their dreams of escaping their small villages, resorting to elaborate cons for money and gaining notoriety, until a persistent police officer catches up to them and instead of arresting them, recruits them to assist in combating other scams. Bunty Aur Babli is a 2005 Indian Hindi-language Comedy Drama motion picture featuring Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukerji, Amitabh Bachchan, Kiran Juneja, Lilliput Faruqui, Pratima Kazmi and Raja Chaudhary. Yash Raj Films was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Aditya Chopra and Yash Chopra. Bunty Aur Babli is written by Aditya Chopra and Jaideep Sahni and it is directed by Shaad Ali. Yash Raj Films acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Bunty Aur Babli was released on 27th May 2005 and takes a screen time of 177 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Bunty Aur Babli was made on a budget of ₹12 crore and it was a super hit at box office gross of ₹36 crore. Cinematography was done by Avik Mukhopadhyay and editing by Ritesh Soni. The music was composed by IIFA Award winner Ehsaan Noorani along with Loy Mendonsa, Shankar Mahadevan and Shankar Ehsaan Loy. At the 2006 IIFA Awards It won an award for Best Choreography.
