Two estranged, street-fighting brothers square off against each other in a mixed martial arts tournament. Brothers is a 2015 Indian Hindi-language Action Drama movie featuring Akshay Kumar, Sidharth Malhotra, Jacqueline Fernandez, Jackie Shroff, Meghan Jadhav, Shefali Shetty and Harv Sihra. The movie is based on Warrior by Gavin O'Connor. Dharma Productions in association with Lionsgate Films and Endemol India. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Hiroo Johar, Karan Johar, Hiroo Yash Johar and Endemol India. Brothers is written by Gavin O'connor, Cliff Dorfman, Ekta Pathak Malhotra, Siddharth Singh, Garima Wahal and Anthony Tambakis and it is directed by Karan Malhotra. Fox Star Studios acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Brothers was released on 13th August 2015 and takes a screen time of 155 minutes. Brothers was made on a budget of ₹112 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹70 crore. The screenplay for the movie was written by Karan Malhotra, Ekta Pathak Malhotra and Siddharth-Garima. Cinematography was done by Hemant Chaturvedi and editing by Akiv Ali. The music was composed by Atul Gogavale along with Ajay Gogavale and Ajay-atul.
