Breakfast at Tiffanys is a 1961 English-language Comedy Drama motion picture written by Truman Capote and George Axelrod. The movie is directed by Blake Edwards and produced by Martin Jurow and Richard Shepherd under the banner of Jurow-Shepherd. A young New York socialite becomes interested in a young man who has moved into her apartment building, but her past threatens to get in the way. Breakfast at tiffanys features Audrey Hepburn, George Peppard, Patricia Neal, Buddy Ebsen, Martin Balsam, Mickey Rooney and Michael Zaslow. The screenplay is written by George Axelrod which is inspired from Breakfast at Tiffany's by Truman Capote. The music was composed by Henry Mancini. Cinematography was done by Franz F. Planer and Philip H. Lathrop and editing by Howard Smith. The movie has a running time of 114 minutes. It was released on 4th November 1961 in English and Portuguese languages. and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released and became successful at box office. Breakfast at Tiffanys was made on a budget of $2 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $14 million. Distribution rights for the movie were acquired by Paramount Pictures. At the 1962 Oscar Awards It won 2 awards including: Best Music, Original Song and Best Music, Scoring of a Dramatic or Comedy Picture.
