Two high school students, Emma and Dean, go on a school trip to Trinidad, where they form a romantic bond after being stranded on a deserted island together, but face challenges when they return home. Blue Lagoon: The Awakening is a 2012 American English-language Adventure Drama movie starring Indiana Evans, Brenton Thwaites, Denise Richards, Patrick St. Esprit, Frank John Hughes, Alix Elizabeth Gitter and Ashley Zhang. The movie is inspired from The Blue Lagoon by H. Devere Stacpoole. PeaceOut Productions in association with Silver Screen Pictures, Sony Pictures Television and Storyline Entertainment. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Kyle Clark and Nellie Nugiel. Blue Lagoon: The Awakening is written by Henry De Vere Stacpoole, Matt Heller and Heather Rutman and it is directed by Mikael Salomon and Jake Newsome. Sony Pictures Television acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Blue Lagoon: The Awakening was released on 16th June 2012 and takes a screen time of 89 minutes. Cinematography was done by Denis Lenoir and Roy Wagner. The music was composed by Tree Adams.
