Anne Marie and her sister work as maids and surf in their spare time, but after a near-fatal accident, Anne Marie must overcome obstacles, including derogatory comments and tension with local surfers, in order to compete in a major surfing competition and regain her confidence. Blue Crush is a 2002 English-language Drama Romance movie starring Kate Bosworth, Michelle Rodriguez, Matthew Davis, Sanoe Lake, Mika Boorem, Chris Taloa and Celeste Wilson. The movie is inspired from The Maui Surfer Girls 1998 Women Outside by Susan Orlean. Imagine Entertainment was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Brian Grazer. The movie is directed by John Stockwell.
