Blow Out

A sound technician witnesses a car accident, suspects foul play, and teams up with the woman he saved to investigate a blackmail plot against a politician, but their efforts are thwarted, resulting in the womans murder and the successful cover-up of the conspiracy. Blow Out is a 1981 American English-language Drama Crime show featuring John Travolta, Nancy Allen, John Lithgow, Dennis Franz, Michelle Pfeiffer, Ashton Kutcher and Susan Wool-rush. Viscount Associates was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) George Litto. The series is written and directed by Brian De Palma. Filmways Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the television series. Blow Out was released on 24th July 1981 and takes a screen time of 108 minutes for each episode. Blow Out was made on a budget of $18 million and at the box office it grossed only $12 million. Cinematography was done by Vilmos Zsigmond and editing by Paul Hirsch. The music was composed by Pino Donaggio.
