In 12th Century India, a valuable ruby is stolen and passed through various hands in present-day India, leading to a dangerous situation involving a kidnapped woman, thugs, and a fake gem, with Inspector Ramesh later becoming a hero but the true ruby remaining missing. Bloodstone is a 1988 English-language Action Adventure film starring Brett Stimely, Rajinikanth, Anna Nicholas, Charlie Brill, Jack Kehler, Christopher Neame and David Soul. Bloodstone was Produced by Sunanda Murali Manohar and Ashok Amritraj. Bloodstone is written by Curt Allen and Nico Mastorakis and it is directed by Dwight H. Little. Omega Entertainment acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Bloodstone was released on 7th October 1988 and takes a screen time of 87 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Bloodstone was made on a budget of ₹7 crore and it was a super hit at box office gross of ₹29 crore. Cinematography was done by Eric Anderson and editing by Nico Mastorakis and Nancy Morrison. The music was composed by National Award winner Ilaiyaraaja along with Ilayaraja and Jerry Grant.

      But it doesnt really matter because if you are able to tolerate such nonsense and take the movie in the spirit it was no doubt intended you are still left with an unimaginative and workmanlike adventure movie whose most entertaining parts are, unfortunately, its most offensive. ( Read More )
