In 1928 New York City, a reporter sets out to write four major stories on New Years Eve, following a group of characters including a gangster, a gambler, an outsider, and a showgirl, as their paths intertwine, leading to a diner confrontation, a gamblers lucky streak, and a socialites extravagant party, all while love interests and a hitman add to the complex plot. American Playhouse was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Samuel Benedict, Chris Brigham, Howard Brookner, Colman Dekay, Kevin Dowd and Lindsay Law. Bloodhounds of Broadway is written by Howard Brookner, Colman Dekay and Damon Runyon and it is directed by Howard Brookner. Columbia Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the movie.
