In Bucharest, Romania, the orphan Vivian was raised by her aunt after losing her parents ten years ago in the Rocky Mountains, Colorado. Her family belongs to a bloodline of werewolves and Vivian is promised to the leader of the pack, Gabriel. When the American cartoonist Aiden, who is researching werewolves for his publisher for the next edition of his magazine, meets Vivian, they immediately fall in love for each other. However, the evil son of Gabriel and Vivian's cousin Rafe poisons Gabriel about the love of Vivian, forcing her to choose between her bounds with her family and her passion for Aiden. Written by Claudio Carvalho, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil Blood and Chocolate is a 2007 English-language Drama Fantasy movie featuring Agnes Bruckner, Hugh Dancy, Olivier Martinez, Katja Riemann, Bryan Dick, Chris Geere and Daniel C. Plaster. The movie is based on Blood and Chocolate by Annette Curtis Klause. Blood and Chocolate was Produced by Wolfgang Esenwein, Hawk Koch, Gary Lucchesi, Tom Rosenberg and Richard S. Wright. Blood and Chocolate is written by Ehren Kruger and Christopher B. Landon and it is directed by Katja Von Garnier. Entertainment Film Distributors acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Blood and Chocolate was released on 15th March 2007 in English,German and Romanian languages and takes a screen time of 98 minutes. Blood and Chocolate was made on a budget of $15 million and at the box office it grossed only $6 million. Cinematography was done by Brendan Galvin and editing by David Gamble and Emma E. Hickox. The music was composed by Reinhold Heil along with Johnny Klimek.
