A former detective who lost his sight becomes a cold case solver and teams up with an inspector to solve various cases, including one involving acid attacks and a personal case for the inspector. Blind Detective is a 2013 Cantonese-language Comedy Crime motion picture starring Andy Lau, Sammi Cheng, Guo Tao, Gao Yuanyuan, Tao Guo, Yuanyuan Gao and Wai-lim Ko. Blind Detective was Produced by Johnnie To and Wai Ka-fai. The movie is directed by Johnnie To. Media Asia Distributions acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Blind Detective was released on 4th July 2013 and takes a screen time of 129 minutes. Blind Detective was made on a budget of $85 million and at the box office it grossed only $36 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Wai Ka-fai, Yau Nai-hoi, Ryker Chan and Yu Xi. Cinematography was done by Cheng Siu-Keung and editing by Allen Leung. The music was composed by Hal Foxton Beckett.
