The movie is based on Bless Me Ultima by Rudolfo Anaya. Gran Via Productions in association with Monarch Pictures, Monkey Hill Films and Tenaja Productions. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Jesse Beaton, Sarah Dileo and Mark Johnson. Bless Me, Ultima is written by Rudolfo Anaya and Carl Franklin and it is directed by Carl Franklin. Arenas Entertainment acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. The movie has a running time of 106 minutes. The motion picture made a box office gross of $1 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Carl Franklin. Cinematography was done by Paula Huidobro and editing by Alan Heim. The music was composed by Mark Kilian.
