A samurai named Manji seeks revenge for his sisters death and meets a girl named Rin who wants to avenge her fathers death, leading them both into a final battle where Rin kills the main antagonist and Manji survives despite his wounds. Blade of the Immortal is a 2017 Japanese-language Action Drama motion picture starring Takuya Kimura, Hana Sugisaki, Sôta Fukushi, Hayato Ichihara, Erika Toda, Kazuki Kitamura and Rin Mizuhara. The movie is inspired from Blade of the Immortal by Hiroaki Samura. Blade of the Immortal was Produced by Jeremy Thomas, Misako Saka and Shigeji Maeda. The movie is directed by Takashi Miike. Warner Bros. Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Blade of the Immortal was released on 29th December 2017 and takes a screen time of 141 minutes. The film made a box office gross of $8 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Tetsuya Oishi. Cinematography was done by Nobuyasu Kita and editing by Kenji Yamashita. The music was composed by Koji Endo.
