Billu

Billu, a poor barber, becomes the talk of the village when he claims to know Bollywood superstar Sahir Khan, but faces doubt from the villagers until Sahir reveals Billus true role in his life during a school function, leading to a joyful reunion. Billu is a 2009 Indian Hindi-language Comedy Drama motion picture starring Irrfan Khan, Lara Dutta, Shah Rukh Khan, Om Puri, Govardhan Asrani, Rajpal Yadav and Deependra Singh. The movie is inspired from Kadha Parayumbol by M. Mohanan. Red Chillies Entertainment was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan. Billu is written by Manisha Korde, Priyadarshan Nair, Mushtaq Sheikh, Sreenivasan and Mushtaq Shiekh and it is directed by Priyadarshan Nair. Eros International acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Billu was released on 13th February 2009 and takes a screen time of 2-16m. Billu was made on a budget of ₹27 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹22 crore. Cinematography was done by V. Manikandan and editing by Arun Kumar. The music was composed by Pritam.
