The movie portrays the love story involving Roopa, Raj, and Ashok, where Roopa faces challenges in earning money to meet her uncles demands and finding a stable relationship. The Art Centre was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Preeti Shaikh and Jaffer Hussain. Bewafa is written by Akhtar Hussein and Sarshar Sailani and it is directed by Parveen Kaur, M.l. Anand and Ranjeet Kaur Saini. The Art Centre acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Bewafa was released on 1st January 1952. Bewafa was made on a budget of ₹18 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹16 crore. The screenplay for the movie was written by Akhtar Hussain. Cinematography was done by K. V. S. Reddy and editing by Z. F. Chaus. The music was composed by Sameer Ali Khan along with A. R. Quareshi.
