Benaam

A married couple witnesses a murder attempt on a press reporter and soon the father must uncover the identity of a mystery person to save his kidnapped son while being blackmailed into doing what they say. Benaam is a 1974 Indian Hindi-language Drama Mystery film starring Amitabh Bachchan, Moushumi Chatterjee, Prem Chopra, Madan Puri, Satyendra Kapoor, Iftekhar Khan and Sopariwala. Filmalaya Studio in association with Mohan Studios, R.K. Studios, Rajkamal Studios and Shree Sound Studio. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Ranjit Virk. Benaam is written by Narendra Bedi, Jayant Dharmadhikari and Kader Khan and it is directed by Narendra Bedi. Ranjit Films acquired the distribution rights for the film. Benaam was released on 18th October 1974 and takes a screen time of 117 minutes. Benaam was made on a budget of ₹1 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹1 crore. Cinematography was done by Kaka Thakur and editing by Waman B. Bhosle and Gurudutt Shirali. The music was composed by Rahul Dev Burman along with R. D. Burman.
