Bee Season

This film explores the lives of a controlling Jewish husband and father, his daughters pursuit of winning a spelling bee, his wifes secret life, and his sons exploration of a different religious movement, ultimately leading to a sacrifice by the daughter for the sake of her familys healing. Bee Season is a 2005 American English-language Drama Family film starring Richard Gere, Juliette Binoche, Flora Cross, Max Minghella, Kate Bosworth, Corey Fischer and Chung Ginger. The movie is based on Bee Season by Myla Goldberg. Regency Enterprises was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Albert Berger and Ron Yerxa.
