Mr. Bean, a clumsy security guard, causes chaos and ruins belongings while staying with a curators family in London, leading the curator to doubt his expertise; however, Bean saves the curators career by switching a damaged painting with a fake at a gallery ceremony, and later saves a police officers life and wakes up the curators daughter from a coma, ultimately being allowed to stay with them longer before returning home with a stolen painting. Bean is a 1997 English-language Adventure Comedy motion picture featuring Rowan Atkinson, Peter Macnicol, Pamela Reed, Harris Yulin, Sandra Oh, Burt Reynolds and Reg Thomason. The movie is inspired from Mr. Bean by Rowan Atkinson Richard Curtis. Working Title Films in association with Tiger Aspect Films. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Peter Bennett-jones, Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner and Richard Curtis. Bean is written by Rowan Atkinson, Richard Curtis and Robin Driscoll and it is directed by Mel Smith. PolyGram Filmed Entertainment acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Bean was released on 30th August 1997 and takes a screen time of 90 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Bean was made on a budget of $18 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $251 million. Cinematography was done by Francis Kenny and editing by Christopher Blunden. The music was composed by Howard Goodall.
