The movie tells the story of Najma, who sells herself to support her family, becomes involved in arranging a marriage for a man from Hyderabad, unwittingly pairs him up with her friends lover and causes her friend to commit suicide, before confessing her guilt to Salim. Bazaar is a 1982 Indian Hindi-language Drama Family film featuring Farooq Shaikh, Smita Patil, Naseeruddin Shah, Supriya Pathak, Bharat Kapoor, Rita Rani Kaul and Tabu Hashmi. Hallmark Hall of Fame was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Vijay Talwar. Bazaar is written by Sagar Sarhadi and Ibrahim Rungala and it is directed by Sagar Sarhadi. Columbia Pictures Television acquired the distribution rights for the film. Bazaar was released on 21st May 1982 and takes a screen time of 121 min. Cinematography was done by Ishan Arya and editing by S. Chakravarty. The music was composed by Khayyam.
