A brilliant scientist is plucked out of the company lab and sent to India to sell the genetically modified rice she created - which she doesn t realize will destroy the farmers she thinks she s helping. Basmati Blues is a 2017 American English-language Comedy Musical film starring Brie Larson, Scott Bakula, Donald Sutherland, Tyne Daly, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Lakshmi Manchu and Dan Watkins. Red Baron Films in association with Considered Entertainment. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Jeffrey Soros, Monique Caulfield and Ruedi Gerber. Basmati Blues is written by Dan Baron, Jeff Dorchen and Danny Baron and it is directed by Dan Baron and Danny Baron. Shout! Studios acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Basmati Blues was released on 8th February 2018 and takes a screen time of 105 minutes. The motion picture made a box office gross of $0 million. Cinematography was done by Himman Dhamija and editing by Tom Lewis. The music was composed by Rajib Karmakar.
