An American in Mumbai finds a banjo player for his friends music festival, and after meeting him, a poor band of friends led by Taraat, they are given a chance to impress a music baron and invited to perform at the festival in the US. Banjo is a 2016 Indian Hindi-language Action Drama movie starring Riteish Deshmukh, Nargis Fakhri, Aditya Kumar, Ram Menon, Dharmesh Yelande, Uday Sabnis and Purnima Ahire. Eros International was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Krishika Lulla and Vashu Bhagnani. Banjo is written by Ravi Jadhav, Krishika Lulla, Nikhil Mehrota, Kapil Sawant and Nikhil Mehrotra and it is directed by Ravi Jadhav. Vashu Bhagnani India acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Banjo was released on 23rd September 2016 and takes a screen time of 140 min. The motion picture made a box office gross of ₹8 crore. Cinematography was done by Tapan Tushar Basu and editing by Rameshwar S. Bhagat. The music was composed by IIFA Award winner Shekhar Ravjiani along with Vishal Dadlani, Vishal Shekhar and Sourav Roy.
