Bandish

A man named Mahender leaves a sick child named Tomato with Kamal Roy, claiming him to be Kamals son to protect him, leading to complications as Kamal tries to convince his girlfriend and parents that Tomato is not his child, while also balancing his own life and relationships. Bandish is a 1955 Indian Hindi-language Comedy Drama film starring Ashok Kumar, Meena Kumari, Daisy Irani, Ashok Kumar Ganguly, Meena Kumari Bano, Bhanu Bannerjee and Rajyalakshmi. Bandish was Produced by Basu Chitra Mandir. Bandish is written by Jyotirmoy Roy, Govind Moonis and Satyen Bose and it is directed by Satyen Bose. Bandish was released on 1st January 1955 and takes a screen time of 129 minutes. Bandish was made on a budget of ₹2 crore and it was a hit at box office gross of ₹2 crore. Cinematography was done by Madan Sinha and editing by G. G. Mayekar. The music was composed by National Award winner Hemanta Mukherjee along with Hemant Kumar.
